ATLANTA – October 30, 2019 – Smarp, a leader in the enterprise employee communications space, has announced the offering of full integration with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products including Sharepoint, Yammer and Microsoft Teams. With this integration, communications professionals can now publish messages to and from any Microsoft O365 suite of products. This is yet another step towards helping businesses increase employee engagement and productivity.
The announcement comes a mere week after Smarp announced the release of the new product feature, Content Booster, which allows pushing content from Smarp to any communications channels that customers might use. The newly introduced Microsoft O365 integration expands on this use case even further.
“Our Microsoft O365 integration now allows us to create two-way integrations with Office 365 products when used jointly with Content Booster,” says Mikael Lauharanta, co-founder and COO of Smarp.
“On the one hand, content posted on Smarp can automatically be published in Sharepoint and MS Teams for users on those platforms to engage with. On the other hand, news published in these platforms can now also be automatically brought directly into Smarp. From there, our customers can leverage our platform and integrations to automatically spread the news onwards through mobile, email or thousands of other communications channels and social media platforms.” - Mikael Lauharanta
With the addition of the Microsoft integration, Smarp further enables communications professionals to scale their communications programs through work task automation and seamless content flow between their different communication channels. Additionally, it enables the consolidation of communications analytics under a single platform. This gives communicators a unified, holistic view of how their messages are performing across their entire workforce.
The integration adds to the existing collection of integrations offered by Smarp, including the integration with Google’s G Suite ecosystem. The inclusion of Microsoft O365 means that Smarp now offers integrations with all major cloud productivity ecosystems.
“We’ve supported our customers on G Suite with great success and wanted to provide the same experience for our customers on Microsoft as well,” notes co-founder and CEO Roope Heinilä.
“The Microsoft integration allows us to do just that. It enables our customers to further develop integrated communications strategies across the board and deliver messages to users through the channels that they prefer using. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter whether your employees receive the message through Smarp, email, intranet or chat – what matters is simply that the message reaches the employee in the most convenient way for them which in turn improves engagement and productivity.” - Roope Heinilä
