One large contributor to noise is language. When you receive content in languages you don’t understand, it definitely has the potential to distract you. Once your organization become multinational and/or multilingual, it is to be expected that the number of languages you need to support broadens. Thus, in order to deliver the right content to any given individual, we wanted to be able to filter out the noise caused by language.
Introducing language detection! Language detection ensures that users have control over keeping the content they receive to languages that they understand. The way it works is simple: Smarp automatically detects the language that a post or piece of content is created in and displays it only to the users that have chosen to receive content in that language.
In some cases, some content may be relevant to all members of the organization regardless of the language it’s in. In these situations, Smarp admins will have the option to override the language detection and filtering and make content visible to all. This is especially useful for important company updates that are relevant for everyone.
We believe that language filtering will provide a simple and elegant way of reducing noise in the enterprise. It helps boost the effectiveness of your Smarp platform, which in turn allows your employees stay better engaged and informed as well as helps your business grow.
